Work History
Current and Recent Experience:
I am currently working as a freelance researcher and journalist. I have a major research project underway in partnership with Creative Coalition and Arts Regional Trust, to map Auckland’s Creative Ecology.
This year I worked with The BizDojo, as the Events & Community Manager of their new venue, The BizDojo Makerspace. Previously, I held a different position in the same company as their Brand & Culture Manager.
From 2011 - 2012, I have carried out several contracts with TBI Assist the consulting branch of The Big Idea, designing and delivering surveys and analysis for various projects affecting the creative sector.
Also with this team, I was one of three researchers who developed an arts and culture strategy for the Howick Local Board. In July 2012, I was contracted by The Big Idea as a Co-Director of Programming for Survive & Thrive 2012, a creative sector conference held at the University of Auckland Business School.
As well as Survive & Thrive, I am heavily involved in producing other creative sector events, such as the Auckland branch of monthly international breakfast talk series CreativeMornings.
My business Vibracorp produces interactive art happenings, and was featured at Splore 2012 with performances in the Living Lounge and Portavilion. Vibracorp is best known for Vibracamp, a school camp-style music festival held for five days over the 2010-2011 new years period.
I am always interested in joining new projects or research teams addressing questions affecting the creative industries or urban policy. I’m also open to opportunities to work with arts community groups and public organisations, and I’d love to get behind creative sector events in any way I can.
